Prof. Josè Juan Santana Rodriguez

INSULAR ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS AS FATE OF ANTROPOGENIC MICROPOLLUTANTS: ANALYSIS AND IMPACT

Short CV

Dr. José Juan Santana Rodríguez is Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the

University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) since 1998. He has been

an Invited Professor at more than twelve universities in Europe, the United

States of America, Australia, Japan and South America. He is author/co-author

of over 176 scientific articles in indexed journals, of 246 communications to

international and national congresses, one book and 12 book chapters. He has

also been, a member of the scientific committee of sixteen international and

national conferences, the general chairman of three international symposia and

an invited speaker at eighteen international conferences. He has been awarded

the 2019 “Recognition to Scientific Career” Prize at ULPGC and he is a

permanent member, of the Royal Sciences Academy of The Canaries (Spain).

He is currently the Director of the Institute for Environmental Studies and

Natural Resources (i-UNAT) at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

(ULPGC).
